Background

The following is based on what we see when we plot up all the detections in the smf's from the 3pi survey portion of the DemoMonth.

Masking Pattern

We are seeing a masking pattern (first seen by Edward Lin @ NCU) taking out a lot of area in the 3pi images from March. This pattern is in all the image smf's on march 9th and in a large number of image smfs on march 3., 4. and 13. The width of the boxes in the pattern change from image to image and there are apparent gaps in the pattern (or in at least one instance as seen below only half the image has the pattern

Wide Magic Masking

There are a number of image smf's where a very wide magic mask seems to have been applied.

Magic Mask Fans

In a number of images it seems that Magic has run a little wild creating fan or star-like shapes that all have a common focal point.
