The IPP Data Distribution system packages up data products for the various stages of the pipeline and places them on the ipp data store. It is envisioned that sites that were 'interested' in particular subsets of the data would each have a data store product to monitor for new data.
At this stage of the project for the most part sites are picking and choosing particular data using the alternate distribution client discussed here.
The selection of files to placed on a particular data store product is controlled by three tables in the ipp database.
