LAP into PSPS 20130717
This wiki describes the process from addstar to ingesting LAP.ThreePi.20130717 into PSPS. There are a few steps:
- run addstar on cam stage
- run addstar on skycal stage
- calibrate dvo (and verify no duplicates and that it is calibrated correctly)
- ingest into dvo
addstar stage
The sky is divided evenly across stsci10 - stsci18, into slices of ra (0 to 2 hr, 2 to 4hr, etc), and segments of dec (-35 to -22, -22 to -10, -10 to 2, 2 to 14, 14 to 26, 26 to 38, 38 to 50, 50 to 62, 62 to 75)
| machine | dec range | slice 00 (ra 0 - 30) | slice 02 (ra 30 - 60) | ... |
| stsci10 | -35 to -22 | LAP.slice00.0.cam | LAP.slice02.0.cam | |
| stsci11 | -22 to -10 | LAP.slice00.1.cam | LAP.slice02.1.cam | |
| stsci12 | -10 to 2 | LAP.slice00.2.cam | LAP.slice02.2.cam | |
| stsci13 | 2 to 14 | LAP.slice00.3.cam | LAP.slice02.3.cam | |
| stsci14 | 14 to 26 | LAP.slice00.4.cam | LAP.slice02.4.cam | |
| ... etc |
This allows addstar to run quickly across the slices (on order of less than a day per slice for the camera stage)
These are queued up via a script, which generates the definebyquery for addtool, removing human typos.
