IPP_Progress_Report_20111114
v11 v12 5 5 6 6 === Eugene Magnier === 7 8 We have been pushing this week to run psphotStack (the 'static sky analysis') on the test sample of images from the SAS2 3-year stacks. When Mark tried to run the SAS and MD04 data, he was finding a couple of problems: lots of NANs in the radial apertures and core dumps from some kind of memory corruption problem. I tracked down the first to an accounting error: objects which were detected in the first pass were being subtracted from the analysis image, but not the detection image. This meant they were re-detected on the second pass, in many cases making the fits ambiguous and producing the NAN values. I traced the memory corruption problem to an error in the fast, 1D Gaussian smoothing function that was only triggered when the smoothing kernel was large compared to the source window. With those two errors fixed, the psphotStack processing was able to proceed. 7 9 8 10 === Serge Chastel === … … 13 15 * PSPS: getting access to the production cluster, making it work, attempting to monitor... 14 16 * IPP: Condor for MD06 17 15 18 === Heather Flewelling === 16 19 17 * sick thurs ay20 * sick thursday 18 21 * czar for many days - lots of bad weather 19 22 * addstars … … 40 43 * lots of meetings and discussion regarding code changes for ORR 41 44 * started to code changes required for stacks 45 42 46 === Mark Huber === 43 47 * psphotstack test runs for SAS, footprint, MD04 sample 44 48 * MD06 reference and test stack prep 45 49 * little time spent continuing to trace through ppStack deep stack convolution problem 50 46 51 === Bill Sweeney === 47 52 * Updated the destreak stage scripts and magicdstool to disambiguate between runs that fail to revert during update and inital processing.
